As one of our foundational examples of this, we choose to use the word "survivor" in all our literature, social media, and communications with our program participants. As a program, we acknowlege the horrific things our participants have gone through, but also acknowledge the courage and perseverance it took to take the steps toward a better life for themselves and when applicable, their children. Every woman that comes to our program is no longer a victim - they are empowered, they supported, they are encouraged, they loved, and they are SURVIVORS. We are a growth program, and do not engage in the furthering of the victim mindset, or victimhood cycles. Therefore, we also do not offer traditional victim advocacy. We have created a one-of-a-kind Survivor Advocacy Program that EMPOWERS our participants to find their voice, and fight for their best life with our incredible team by their side all along the way.
